Be here

I am in a time of growth and change. A huge transition from a fast paced, corporate venture to non-profit, intentional, value based work.

Work does not have to be an identity, and all work carries dignity and importance inherently – but I am finding so much meaning in mine.

My new work has brought me closer to people. Closer to death and dying. Closer to meaning making and reflections on a life well lived.

As I reflect, my heart struggles with so many things each day. Living under white supremacy, capitalism, and patriarchy is very painful. Our world can be so violent and rotten and there is a collective belief that it all could have been more beautiful than this. Women know deep in our weary bones we would have built something more beautiful than this.

Men wage war against each other and our bodies because they see us awakening. I can feel their last desperate grasp for power. And while I am unsure what we will see rise in my generation, I know we are on the right path.

Our work and pain and rising up now will feed and hold our daughter’s daughters. The sons we are forming now will not cling to the last bits of power, they will share.

I see a more hopeful way. I see it forming in the heart of every young person. I see a yearning for love and gentleness in the world at the end of life as well.

A return of the age of Aquarius, the age of light. The collective is rising, community is returning.

Be here for it.

More soon,
